MOCA Annual Fund

For 43 years, MOCA, as Northeast Ohio’s only contemporary art museum, has brought the art and ideas of our time to Cleveland. Gifts to the MOCA Annual Fund support all museum activities, including educational school tours and a variety of public programs for people of all ages and walks of life. This fund enables the museum to support the work of both emerging and established contemporary artists, through exhibitions that engage the community.

Your support stands as a vote of confidence for MOCA, a cultural leader and respected resource for the region.
Capital Campaign

After ten years of careful planning, diligent benchmarking, and successful fundraising, MOCA has an extraordinary new building in the heart of University Circle, Cleveland’s cultural center. MOCA’s building, designed by world-renowned architect Farshid Moussavi, is the flagship of the new Uptown District, home to northeast Ohio’s leading educational, medical, and cultural organizations.

Through the generosity of individuals, foundations, and businesses, MOCA has raised more than $31 million toward its comprehensive goal of $34.8 million.

While gifts of any size matter and count toward our final goal, there are naming opportunities at a number of levels. You can Do Something Monumental for as little as $5,000. The Donna and Stewart Kohl Monumental Stairs in the new building is an awe-inspiring set of steps that is unique in the world of architecture and design because there is a secondary staircase embedded within the exterior one. These two sets of stairs provide you with an opportunity to name either a step in the interior staircase ($5,000 per step) or the exterior staircase ($10,000 per step). Consider doing something monumental for MOCA and name a step!

There is still time for you to make a tax deductible gift to the comprehensive campaign and be a part of this important addition to Cleveland’s cultural landscape.

Please contact the Development Department for more information, including naming opportunities at higher levels.
